Aadi Perukku

 Aadi Perukku is an event that has great importance in the farmer’s life. The month in which the celebrations of this event are performed is called Aadi. As arranged in the Aadi, it has been given this name. According to the beliefs of Tamils related to the southern part of india, the event has returning effects on the life of celebrating person. One who presents the day in a good way is blessed with good things, and one who offers the day in a bad habit is blessed with the bad things in his everyday life. 

Worships performed on Aadi Perukku

Aadi Manders

The Aadi Manders are decorated for the celebrations. The married girls have to perform the warships with the unmarried girls so that they also get married to their favorite persons. This is included in the worship of married girls.

Temples decoration

Before the start of the day, the devotees have to come to the Manders of Aadi, where the temples are getting cleaned and decorated. Arts related to the Aadi are displayed on the side walls of Mander, and the Puja is offered to them.

Aadi Puja

It is not mandatory to offer Puja to the art of Aadi or the idol of Aadi. Puja reward will be the same as the worship offered to the Aadi art or the standard of Aadi. But it is good to offer Puja to the idol of Aadi as it is considered more holy than Aadi art Puja. 

Aadi bath

The Aadi baths are taken in the holy rivers called Ganga and Yamuna. The sacred rivers are also decorated with lights around their corners. The bath activity starts after all the bath takers arrive, and a time is fixed for performing the Aadi bath.
