Akha Trij

Akha Trij is a festival of people from the Hindu community celebrated in various Indian states. Tritya, on which it is arranged, is called Paksha Tritya. Satya Yuga is the Hindu event day, and it is concluded on this day, and the beginning ceremony of Treta Yuga is arranged. It is also called Yugadi Tuthi, and Vishnu is worshipped on this event in Vishnu temples situated in various Indian states. 

Lakshmi and Vishnu worship Akha Trij.

Vishnu and Lakshmi’s idols are worshipped at this festival in the Vishnu temples. According to the old lovers of Vishnu, this day celebration is given by Vishnu to them, and they enjoy it. Flower Garlands are made by the Vishnu followers and presented to Vishnu, and for the Lakshmai decoration, new dresses are made and wrapped to her idols after washing them in the holy water. Vishnu and Lakshmi Puja are the main worships presented to the relative God at this event. 

Observances happened on Akha Trij.

• Fast is offered to Vishnu and Lakshmi, and till the end of the day, puja is performed in the temples. 
• Various forms of Vishnu are worshipped on this day; among those forms, Lakshaminaryana is the most honoured. 
• Purchasing of items made of gold is also included in the ritual activity, and jewellery products are bought to present them to Lakshmi. 
• Various marriage ceremonies were also held, and a few people sold their old vehicles and bought new ones for travelling. 
• Tarpan activity is performed for the ancestor’s salvation and to get forgiveness for their sins from Vishnu. 
• In the end, Charity and Hawan activities are performed for the well-being and Vishnu wealth blessings.
