Amalaki Ekadashi

Amalaki Ekadashi is the festival arranged after the Mahashivrartri but before Holi in the Hindu communities. This is only the festival on which the gooseberries are offered special worship. The reason behind worshipping the gooseberries is the residence of Vishnu and the top Goddess named Lakshmi. The worship is provided near the gooseberry trees, and new clothes are gifted to him. The reward the gooseberry worshippers got in return was their promising future.

The Artri activity is also relevant to this festival and is primarily performed in the Visnu and Lakshami temples.
