Baisakhi

The great event of Hindus that is celebrated in India by the community belonging to Sikhism is called Baisakhi. The Sanranti that is celebrated on this day is called Baisakhi Sankranti. The other name that is dedicated to the Baisakhi is called Vaisakhi. Assam and the related areas of Uttar Pradesh are the areas in which it is observed. The name of this event given to it in Assaam is Rangoli Bihu. The name of this great event in the areas of west Bengal is Poila Baisakh. In the areas related to Tamil Nadu, this event is named Puthandu. Other than this, the event is celebrated in the areas mentioned above to show that its time to harvest the crops called Rabi Crops.

• The grand ceremonies are arranged on the corners of the river called holy rivers of the Hindus named bathing traditions. All the people who believe in this event bathe in rivers like Ganga considered an essential activity on the Baisakhi. 
• The Kirtans done on this day by the Sikhs is named Nagar Kirtan, and this Kirtan is marked by one of the festivals of the Sikhs, also celebrated on this day. Few people go to the Gurudwaras as a visitor. And celebrate the festival there. 
• The ceremonies are also arranged in the Gurudwaras. For this purpose, these are decorated very well. The Langar parties are also placed on this day in the Gurudwaras and enjoyed by all those related to the Sikh community. 
• The Gurudwaras are decorated with various flowers. The lights of multiple colours are displayed on the central part of Gurudwaras. The primary purpose of the ceremonies arranged in the Gurudwaras is to get wealth and God’s prosperity. 
• The fruits are also offered in the Gurudwaras. The fruits in the Gurudwaras are the fresh fruits plucked from the plant on the event day. After the worship, the fruits are eaten by all Gurudwaras followers, especially deserved.
