Traditions on Basoda
There are certain customs of the Hindus that are specific to Basoda. In honour of Basoda, the people of india shut off their kitchens because they thought burning fire on this day could have a bad impact on their lives. Their lives will turn to fire if they burn fire on this day. The fire is only burned in one case. The case in which the Indians burn fire on Basoda is by digging the earth down, and then they use fire rods or wood to burn fire. It is only burned to make food for the Sheetala God. The burning fire activity under each can also be performed on the day before Basoda day. The food is prepared on this day. This food is special for their God, which is Sheetala on Basoda. In addition, people also take special baths when they wake up just after the first rays of the sun. The special dresses are stitched to be worn on this day. In addition to this, special food is prepared by Indians to eat by them and to enjoy the full day. The Idol of Sheetala is also decorated to be worshipped on Basoda.
