Bestu Varsh

Bestu Varsh is the Diwali event celebrated by Hindus with lights. Special arrangements are made in the temples and homes to celebrate it. The temples are decorated with lights, and Vishnu art is displayed on Mander walls. As the celebrations started, all Diwali celebrators moved to the temple and offered Puja to him. It also marks the new year of the Gujrat people, and Gujrati people celebrate it by heart with fireworks at night. 

Bestu Varsh (Significance) 

This festival is essential for the Gujrat people as they celebrate it as a new year and perform celebrations related to their new year. Chopda Puja is completed, and the idols follow while the Chopda Puja is wrapped in a Yellow dress. The flower garlands are presented to them, and Puja Vithi is started after complete decoration. Due to Puja Vithi and the Go idol’s decoration, the celebrators receive blessings like salvation, wealth, and prosperity.

The Shukla Paksha related to it is called Pratipada, and the month of this day celebration is called Kartik. As the day starts, the idols of Krishna and Vishnu are taken to the temple by Hindus, and a bath is given to them. After bathing, they are wrapped in the holy dress. The Ganesha idols are decorated with Durva grass, while the Parwati idols are covered in red clothes. The Rangli celebrations took place as the Puja Vithi about Bestu ended. Celebrators throw colors at each other and make the event beautiful.
