Bhalachandra Sankashta Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated on the 11th of march in Hindu Manders in 2023. This day is also honored to Ganesha; for this reason, Ganesha idols are worshipped in Shiva temples. As Shiva was the father of Ganesha so Shiva is also revered with Shiva worships on this festival. There are various reasons to worship Ganesha. The main reason to worship Ganesha is to finish troubles from life.

Ganesha is worshipped with various rituals along with Shiva. Ganesha idols are washed in Ganga, and fresh Sarso oil is applied to its idols. After wrapping idols in new clothes, these are taken to the temple for presenting Puja to them. Puja Vithi starts as the idols reach the temple, and prayer activity is performed after the Puja Vithi act. Preparing Ganesha food like Luddo is also included in the worship of Ganesha on this gala day.
Ritualistic acts on Bhalachandra Sankashta Chaturthi
Chant Mantra is recited more than 108 times in temples before Ganesha idols. Atharvashirsha is the praising song, and Manter of Ganesha is repeated after the Mantra recitation. As the moon appears, Puja’s ceremony related to the moon begins, and Puja is presented to the moon. On this day, the moon is called Ganesha avatar by Ganesha followers. Ganesha Fast is concluded at the place where Puja was finished. Charity activity is not performed prominently at this event, but only a few religious people arrange it and present clothes and food products to Ganesha’s poor celebrators.
