Chaitra Purnima is a day celebrated as a festival by the Indian people. Other than the Indian people, the hinds living in the other part of the world also celebrate it. This day is celebrated when the moon is in its full shine. This day is also named a day that is celebrated on a full moon. Chaitra Purnima will be revealed in April. Few Hindus celebrate this day in March by the Hindu Calender. Hanuman Jayanti is also celebrated on Chaitra Purnima.
Chaitra Purnima Rituals
The top worship that is offered to Lord on this day is taking of bath. For this purpose, the bath taker has to visit their holy rivers .mostly people have Holy rivers like Gnaga and Yaumna. Bath time is before the rising of the sun in the first morning. After this, it is considered that the Lord wakes up and is disturbed by these types of Activities on this day. On this day, the Two Lords are Worshipped. One is Vishnu, and the other one is Hanuman. According to a few Hindus, these are the first Gods, which is why they worshipped on Chaitra Purnima day. Satyanarayana is the name of that special fast that is offered on this day, and only a few people offer it due to its strict rules by the Vishnu and Hanuman. Satyanarayana Katha is referred to as the Manter of Vishnu and Hanuman, which is recited on this day. In addition, the food is also prepared on this day and offered to the Hanuman.
Food items offered on Chaitra Purnima
Certain food items are offered to Vishnu on this holy day. The following food items are offered to Vishnu on this day.
- Fruits
Fresh fruit items are brought from the fruit bazaar to offer to Vishnu. Different fruits are offered to Vishnu and Hanuman. The Hindus believe that Vishnu feels happy if they offer fruits to it on this day.
- Supari
Fresh Supari is taken from Supari Market and then offered to the Hanuman. The offering of Supari to the Hanuman blessed Hanuman followers with its blessings. It is not offered to Vishnu as he dislikes it.
- Banana leaves
There are banana leaves taken on this day in the Temples of Vishnu and Hanuman. Before taking them to the Hanuman Temple, they are washed with special oil. These leaves are used for the decoration of the Temple on this day.
- Moli
The Moli pieces are also offered to Vishnu. Hanuman dislikes Moli because he thinks it could be a better food item. More offering Moli to the Vishnu is also washed with the oil and taken in special plates in the Temple.
- Incense sticks
These are liked by both Vishnu and Hanuman and offered to them on this holy festival day. These sticks have magic in them as they are only for Vishnu. After offering them to Vishnu, these are again used for doing any magic.
