Chaitragaur

Chaitragaur is the Hindu festival celebrated as Gauri Puja. Gauri is worshipped with Puja and prayers. It is also called Gauri Vratam in a few states of India. Rajasthan is the top Indian state where it is celebrated especially. The Gauri idols are placed at the top places of temples and at the places where it is worshipped. In most of the Rajasthan temples, idols made of silver are displayed, and people offer Puja to them. 

Celebrations on Chaitragaur

Annapurna is the main avatar of Gauri worshipped on this day. Flowers are displayed above the God idols, and the garlands made of fresh flowers are offered to her. Women make kheer for Gauri and distribute it at the end of Gala day. New Gauri dresses were made and offered to Gauri before the Puja Act. According to the culture of Hindus, celebrators make Faral sweets as a Gauri sweet, and Grandmother Ladus are performed.

Gauri is the worshipped idol, and prayers are presented to them. Other than Gauri, avatars of Gauri are also worshipped. The day named Haldi Kanku day is related to it, and the worshipped God of that day is also prioritized on this day in the temple front or at the interior top place of the temple. A decoration ceremony is arranged in which various items are decorated and presented to God front. Children worship Kali Mata, and small children offer black knives to her as a Kali gift. Kali worshippers are blessed with success and Goddess Kali’s wealth.
