Chandra Darshana 21 February

Chandra Darshana is a festival of Hindus on which worship is offered to the moon by viewing it after an event named Amavasya. It is the religious event of Hindus as on this gala Moon God is worshipped. A prayer ceremony is arranged in which moon prayers are presented to the moon for success in life. This day is celebrated at night when the moon appears, and the fast of this event is called the night moon fast.

• The main activity of this gala is to worship the moon at night. God honored on this day is called Chandra Dev, and prayers are presented to him for Dev blessings. 
• Moon-fasting people can use food products during the night and the moon’s appearance. Fast will be concluded by offering Puja to Chandra Dev. 
• After all ritual acts, a charity activity is held in which Sugar and rice are donated to all Brahmins in the temple. Fasting people go to Yamuna for a holy bath. 
• All people, especially women, present fast to Chandra for the well-being of their children and to remove all obstacles occurring on their life journey. 

Significance related to Chandra Darshana

The lives of moon worshippers are directly affected, and they feel Chandra is blessing them as a reward for their worship. Evil deeds are removed, and adverse changes are handled in life. A person who is ill due to severe diseases must offer Chandra fast to get free from all diseases.
