Chhath Puja

The day dedicated to the Sun, ‘Light God’ in india is called Chhath Puja. The Puja to the Sun is called Sun Puja and is only offered to the Sun. The fasts are also provided on the same in respect of the Sun. The event consisted of four days, and this is only the event arranged for two times in the same year. The months in which the days of the event are set are called Chaitra, and the other is Kartika. The relatives of the Sun have also worshipped on the same day, especially the sister; named Chhathi Maiya.

How Chhath Puja is a significant event for Hindus

The event is significant for the Hindus due to the Sun God worship. The Puja is offered to the Lord in the open ground in the daytime. As the sunlight dispersed on the earth, the people gathered on the floor and arranged the Puja ceremony. Few people offer Sunfast to the Sun as there are more blessings of the Sunfast than the other worships of the day. At the end of the Puja ceremony, the thanking ceremony is arranged in which special thanks to the SUN are paid in the form of offering prayers to him. All the worship has tremendous importance from the wealth and prosperity point of view.

Titles of the days of Chhath Puja

  • The name given to the first day of the event is Nahaay Khay, and it has great importance from the bathing point of view.
  • The event’s second day is entitled Lohanda. Kharna title can also be used instead of event title and essential from event food making the point.
  • The third and fourth days are called Sanjhka Aragh and Bhorka Aragh, respectively, and are essential for offering fast and Puja.
