Dev Diwali

Dev Diwali is the festival of joy celebrated in india by Hindus. It is arranged in Kartik, and the Tithi during which it happened is called Purnima Tithi. It is also called Deep Deepavali. Ganga is worshipped on this Diwali with great devotions, and the Diyas are presented to her. Ganga worshippers offer prayers to Ganga at the end. Vishnu Puja is performed to honor Vishnu and to provide thanks to him. In 2022, it was set on the 7th of November. 

Significance related to Dev Diwali

It is the big festival of Hindus, and all Hindu celebrators of this day come to Ganga and take a bath there. After bathing, the prayers are presented to Ganga, and Gangra Aarti is performed. Before worshipping Ganga, Ganga Ghat decoration took place in which lighted Diyas are placed around the edges of the Ganga. In various Indian cities, especially in the northern parts of india, Shiva victory is also celebrated, and Puja to Shiva is presented. 

Dev Diwali (Rituals)

Kartik Snan is the main ritual activity performed after bathing on Ganga. After Kartik Snan, Deepdaan is an essential activity in which the Diyas are lighted around the edges of Ganga, and Puja is performed. As the evening came, a ceremony was arranged in which Aarti named Ganga Aarti took place. Rangoli celebrations are also enjoyed, and after Rangoli celebrations at night, fireworks are performed, which adds to the beauty of the event. Jagran and the Bhajan rituals are also arranged in a few cities of india, and after Bhajan rituals, Bhog is distributed among Dev and Devi worshippers
