Shiva temples are also decorated with various lights, and Holi celebrators move there to offer prayers to Shiva. Colorful foods are also cooked, and at night balloons of multiple colors are bursted, which adds to this day’s beauty.

In the Krishna temples, Krishna Puja is performed, and Krishna lovers offer new dresses and Satvik food to Krishna. Prayers for the ancestors’ salvation are also provided with great devotion. Puja Vithi is the primary worship of this day and is dedicated to the various gods. In the evening, people leave the temple and pray to the sun. Sun worship is considered necessary for the forgiveness of sins.

After the Puja act, colorful water bottles are thrown all around, especially on the idols’ faces. Celebrators also throw water at each other, turning their white clothes into colorful dresses. Various foods are cooked according to the culture of people and eaten after all celebrations. Old Dhuleti celebrators offer fast to Vishnu on this event day. In the Bengal temples, Ganesha idols are worshipped with Puja by holding colorful water and food in their hands.
