Diwali is the event of happiness celebrated in the country named india. At the time of this great event, the homes are specially decorated by lighting up the Diyas and lamps of various sizes. There are restrictions on the event regarding the lighting up of the more Diyas as it is the cause of air pollution. People gather at the event in one place, and each light up Diya and offers prayers to God. in 2023, it will be presented on the 12th of November. 

Why Diyas are lighted up on Diwali

Diyas are a sign of happiness and spirituality, so to welcome Lakshmi, everybody lights up the Diyas on the home walls and in the front of the homes. According to the old festival celebrating people of india, the Lakshami only visit those homes in which the Diyas are lit up. For this purpose, the Diyas are lighted up, and the flowers are also spread in the front of the home for the grand welcome of the Goddess for getting the Lakshami blessings. 

Worshipped Gods on Diwali

It is not mandatory to worship a specific God. The majority offer worship to Lakshmi and Vishnu at the event by visiting the respective temples. The few celebrators also arrange the Lakshami birthday on the same day. The Vishnu temples are decorated with garlands made of red flowers. Krishna idols are also decorated with white flowers. The gifts are also shared on the event to the poor to add them to the event of happiness. The last worshipped God of the event, according to a few religious people, is Buddha, and after this, the festival ends by offering prayers to Lakshmi and Vishnu.
