Dola Gowri Vratam

The event celebrated in the Chaitra is called Dola Gowri Vratam. Puja activities are this day’s main rituals, arranged in the nearby temples. The Puja work placed on this day is called Gangaur Gauri. Older adults mostly do not participate in this day and only perform for married girls. They thank God and demand a new home and baby from God. Today, the Gauri and Shiva arts are displayed in the homes. In 2023, it will be arranged on 2023 of March in the Gauri and Shiva temples with great devotion. 

Gauri Pujan

Puja to the Gauri is offered at this event and dedicated to the Gauri. It is unnecessary to go to the Shiva or Vishnu temple, and worshippers can go to any temple to offer worship to the Gauri God. Before going to the temple, the Puja offering person has to go to the Yamuna river for the holy bath. It is also called Gauri Tritiya. And the Vrat of the day is called Manorath Tritya. Before offering Vrat, take a sacred bath in the Ganga. Otherwise, it would not be accepted. 

Shiva Pujan

As Shiva is the God of Power, it is necessary to offer Puja to him. Fire is burned in the temple, which shows Shiva’s power, and worship is presented to the fire. Older adults come to the temple at midnight for the Shiva Puja, but women and young ones come in the mid-day for the Puja work. Prayers to Shiva are offered and said to him for wealth and prosperity.
