Durga Ashtami

Durga Ashtami is a great event celebrated in the holy month of Ashwina. The other name regarded to this event is Maha Ashtami. There are different names for this event in various areas of india. In a few cities, its original name is used as a calling, but in Uttar Pradesh, it is called Maha Ashtami. The Puja activity occurred on the day of the event in the temple and has a unique name, Durga Poja. 

Celebrations on Durga Ashtami

• The special dish consists of the various foods prepared at the Satvik Dish foods event. This dish includes different food dishes named Halwa with delicious Poori. 
• Lines are recited during the event, and those lines are called Saptashati Paath. While the recitation of the Saptashati Paath, a Diya is lit up with the Sarso oil and offered to the day God in the temple. 
• The Bhog Prasad of the day is only offered to the Maa named Durga Maa. The other thing that adds to the day’s beauty is the girl’s invitation to the temple. The girls invited on the day are about 9 in number. The age of those girls must be above ten years. Girls’ invitation is included in the activity of the day. 
• The invited girls must be poor and included in the list of deserving girls. They are offered unique gifts, and their Poja is provided to get infinite blessings from the Durga day God.
