Durgashtami

Durgashtami is the festival of Hindus celebrated for offering a fast to Durga. It is arranged on every Shukla Paksha, and Tithi related to this festival is called Ashtami Tithi. On this festival, Durga worshippers offer a full-day fast to Durga and present Puja to her. It is also called Masik Durgashtami. Durga idols are wrapped with red clothes, and Durga Puja is given to her with great devotion on the evening of this gala.
