Dwijapriya Sankashta Chaturthi

Dwijapriya Sankashta Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated as a Chaturthi day called Sankashti Chaturthi. In 2023, it was celebrated on the 9th of February. This day is also honored to Ganesha and the avatars of Ganesha. Other than Ganesha, Vishnu is also worshipped with various worships. Hurdles from the life of the Ganesha worshipper are removed due to honoring this gala to Ganesha.

Ganesha fast 

Ganesha is the most worshipped God on this gala, so a strict fast is also dedicated to Ganesha. As a result of the Strict Fast, the fasting person’s and his ancestors’ sins are cleared. 

Wishes fulfillment

The wishes of every Ganesha worshipper are fulfilled due to Ganesha’s prayers. Prayers activity is performed in which prayers to various Ganesha avatars are offered. 

Vrat rules about Dwijapriya Sankashta Chaturthi

  • Ganesha worshippers must get up as the sun rises and go to Yamuna or another holy river for bathing. 
  • After bathing, the bathing person has to wear new clothes for presenting Puja to Ganesha.
  • Celibacy has to be maintained; otherwise, the Fast will be broken, and Ganesha will harm you and reject your Fast. 
  • Tobacco cannot be used as it breaks the fast, and worshippers must perform the Naam Jaap activity. 
  • Till the end of Vrat, rice cannot be eaten. After Vrat time, move to Ganesha temples and offer Puja to his third avatar. 
  • Make sweet foods, including Laddo, and consume yourself after presenting them to Ganesha. You can also divide it as a Bhog for Ganesha rewards.
