Moon sighting is the central ritual of this day. Ganesh worshippers have to get up before the sun rises, and after the Ganesh bath, the bath taker has to move to the Ganesh temple for Ganesh worship. Fast is also performed on this event day in which the fast offering person can only eat fruits. After completing the Fast ritual, devotees come to the Ganesh temple for Ganesh Puja. Before Ganesh Puja, the idols of Ganesh are decorated with flowers and grass. Navivedya is prepared in the place of Bhog and taken to the Ganesh temple for presenting it to God. After all acts, Prepared Bhog is distributed among all celebrators.
