Ganadhipa Sankashta Chaturthi is the holy festival of Hindus celebrated for offering worship to Ganesha. Offered worship to Ganesha on this day are prayers, fasting, and Puja. Tithi on which this Sankashta is celebrated is called Chaturthi Tithi, and Paksha is called Krishna Paksha. According to the Hindu concept of Ganesha, one who offers worship to Ganesh on this Chaturthi day is blessed with the unlimited blessings of Ganesha. Ganesha also removes all the hurdles from the path of his success.
Ganadhipa Sankashta Chaturthi (Significance)
This Chaturthi day has great importance in the religion of Hindus. According to Hindus, Ganesha was the son of Shiva, as when Shiva married Parvati, he took birth. There was an excellent ritual act performed on this birthday. So this day is significant to celebrate the birthday of Ganesha. Various worships like Hawan and Yajna are presented to Ganesha, and few people offer fast to the Ganpati avatar of Ganesha for prosperity and wealth. In addition, Ganesha Fast, along with prayers, is also performed to get a life free of hurdles.

- As a Ganesha food, Laddo is cooked and presented to Ganesha by applying Tilaak.
- As the herb Ganesha liked was Durva Grass, his idols were decorated with it to make him happy.
- Katha named Bindayak Katha is recited after performing the Aartri activities, and Bhog is also given to Ganesha as a charity food.
