Ganesh Visarjan

There is a festival that is named Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in India and the countries where the Hindus are present. At the end of the Ganesh Chaturthi, the Ganesh Visarjan is celebrated. The worship is offered during the ten days of this festival. The idols of the Ganesh God are taken from the Bazars and worshipped during the festival days. As there are ten days when the Ganesh Visarjan is celebrated, then the idols of the Ganesh are also revered for these ten days. As the worship is completed, the festival duration is also completed, and the icons of the Ganesh are taken to the edges of the holy river, where they are washed and then placed in the temple to worship them in the coming year during the days of the festival.
Acts related to the Ganesh Visarjan
- Start worshipping the Ganesh after taking a bath in the holy rivers. The Tilak is put in the Bowl of Pooja that will be used for the Pooja purpose. The flowers are offered to the Ganesh while the Puja activity.
- The Bhoog prasad is taken from the bazaar and then offered to Lord Ganesh to make it happy, and mostly Bhoog prasad is distributed among the members of the temple that stay all-time in the temple.
- The idols that are taken to the Mander are of different kinds. These are of the Ganesh, Vishnu and the other Lord of the day. The Parwati lords are used to offer Puja after the end of the festival.
- There are only four idols that are taken to the Mander. These idols are bought by the people present in the Mander during the festival. As the festival ends, all the models are returned to the people who have taken them to the temple.
- Certain rituals are related to the Visarjan. These worship are offered with certain items, the items that are used for prayer include oil lamps and Gandh. These items are presented to God Ganesh.
- The dance activity is also a part of Ganesh Visarjan. In this activity, there is a great beat of the drums. All the people in the temple offer dance before the idols of the Lord. The one who is dancing has to wear a yellow dress as it is mandatory for this activity.
