Gauri Tritiya

Gauri Tritiya is the festival of women, as all Indian women celebrate it. Great colorful celebrations took place at the Rajasthan temples, and all Gauri worshipper women came there to offer worship to Gauri. Shiva and Parwati are the worshipped idols of this day. According to Hindu scriptures, it is said that this Tritiya festival represents Shiva and Parwati. Shiva-Parwati fasts are arranged, and people offer Puja to Parwati idols. Married women celebrate this Tritya for long of children while unmarried offer it for getting groom with blessings of Gods. 

Gauri Tritiya (Siginifiance)

Tritiya days are important for all Hindus, and all offer worship to the idols of Shiva with Parvati. It is celebrated by the married and unmarried, and they offer prayers to Parwati. The purpose of offering Vrat to Parwati by unmarrieds is to get a loyal husband while the married offer it for children long life. In addition, the celebrations related to Holi are also enjoyed in the evening of Tritya day. 

Gauri Tritiya (Ritualistic Acts) 

Bonfire is the main ritual of this gala, and ash is collected by the women and mixed with sow wheat. People sang songs and praised Parwati by reciting Parwati Manters. Seeds are bowed in the clay pot, and water is mixed. Drummers move out of their residences along with decorated camels, and dancing activities are performed. Special idols of Parwati and Shiva are made for children; they take them along with them and offer Puja to them in the temple.
