Gokulastami

Gokulastami is the event on which the Krishna followers celebrate the birthday of Krishna. Krishna is the avatar of Vishnu, and due to this reason, Vishnu worship is also presented on this day. All the books written on Krishna are taken to the Krishna temple and read there as Krishna Manter. A particular activity is performed named Mathura, in which all the traditions of Hindus are applied for this festival celebrations.

Krishna fasting

The religious Tamil Indians perform Krishna fasting activity on the day of Gokulastami. They must wake up before sunrise and take Krishna’s bath in the holy rivers. The women are allowed to take a bath in home baths, but the male and older adults are allowed to take a bath in the sacred rivers or the Krishna Temples. After the bathing, the Puja is offered to Krishna, and a few religious persons present Diya as a Puja gift. After Puja, the fast is kept with the food cooked for Krishna for over 10 hours.

As the Krishna fasting activity ends, the Krishna prayers are presented to the Krishna. In this prayer, Krishna’s wealth and special blessings are demanded from him as a reward for the day’s worship. Salvation for the ancestors is also required from Krishna. Married women come to the temple to pray for their children’s long life and home prosperity. The unmarried people offer payers to him to get married to whom they love.

The People of Pradesh cities of india arrange the Krishna singing ceremonies in which they sing the songs in Krishna’s honor. The songs written in praise of Krishna are sung on the day of the festival. This is a fantastic moment of joy for all the celebrators. All the Pradesh people take part in the singing and present songs to Krishna. As a result, Krishna blesses them with the Krihsna knowledge.
