Govardhan Puja

The Festival that Krishna lovers will arrange in India on the 13th of November is called Govardhan Puja. Worship in the form of offering food is presented on this day. More than 56 foods will be presented in the temples of Krishna, and each food will be different from the others. It can also be called thanking ceremony as the grand thanks are paid to Krishna on this day due to his blessings on all people, especially Hindus. The Tithi activity belonging to the event is called Pratipada Tithi, which is also presented with great decorations. 

How Govardhan Puja is celebrated

• The celebrator must wake as soon as possible on the night before the event day for the bathing activity that will make them holy.
• The special sticks lit up in the temple named incense sticks for the fragrance. 
• The Bhog arranged as the Prasad has a special name, Chappan Bhog. It is presented to God to show love to him. 
• The Bhog Prasad prepared in the homes differs from the Bhog of the temples as the Vegetables are included in it. 
• For offering prayers to God, fruits are taken to the temple and presented to God as a gift of him. 
•  The Krishna Manters are recited in the temples of Krishna by worshippers to make Krishna happy.
• The offered fast is called Krishna fast in dedication to Krishna. Krishna gives rewards through wealth and blessings to the fast-presenting person. The Festival ends with eating Prasad, presented by all the worshippers.
