Hanuman Jayanti

Hanuman Jayanti is a Hindu event celebrated in respect of Hanuman’s birthday, as it was the day when Hanuman was born. It is mainly celebrated in an Indian city named Tamil Nadu. Tithi activity related to this festival is called Amavasyai Tithi. In 2022, it was set on the 23rd of December. The mother’s name of Hanumana was Anjani, while his father was Kesari. Shiva is considered followed by Hanumna, so he is also worshipped on this festival. 

Puja acts performed on Hanumana Jayanti

• Abhishekam is the primary ritual worship presented to Hanumana on this day. Worshippers get up in the morning and take a Hanuman bath in Ganga or Hanuman temple. 
• After taking a bath, they have to move to Shiva or Vishnu’s main temple along with the Hanumana idol to offer Puja to him. While presenting Puja to him, Chandan will be given to him in Puja bowls with great devotion. 
• Butter will be taken in the temple, and its thick layer will be made on the Idol of Hanuman. Newly designed dresses and foods like fruits and butter-made products will be given to Hanumana. After Puja acts, Bhog named Bhog Prasad will be distributed among deserves. 
• Sundar Kand will be recited in front of the Hanumana idol, considering it as the Manter of Hanuman. Various Bhajans are also dedicated to him after Manter’s recitation. Prayers named Hanumana prayer are presented in Manders for getting Hanumana salvation for ancestors. The event fast is broken with Satvik food and Hanuman Butter food to bring God’s blessings.
