Hartalika Teej

Hartalika Teej is the festival whose Tithi activity in 2022 ended at 03:33 pm. There was a great gathering of children on Hartalika Teej last year. Hartalika Teej is the only festival that is celebrated by all women, whether they are married, or they are unmarried. The arrangements for Hartalika Teej are started in the Shukla Paksha, named the festival month in the calendar of Hindus. Last year, in 2022, Hartalika Teej was celebrated on the 29th of August.

How Hartalika Teej is important for all Indians

Due to the rewards and the gifts of the God day, the Hartalika Teej has great significance in the religion of Hindus. The Gowri is the Hindu women’s Goddess, and the man is considered the worshipped God on Hartalika Teej. It is also celebrated in Uttar Pradesh and other countries related to Uttar Pradesh and is present in this country’s surroundings.

Rituals related to Hartalika Teej

Three are following rituals that are offered on Hartalika Teej. Remember that the God worshipped on Hartalika Teej will be the Goddess Parwati. You have to dedicate all the worship to the Goddess Parvati. In addition to this, the strict fast is also a part of this day that is also devoted to the Parwati.

  • A bathing activity is only for women, and they must fulfill them. The married woman must take a bath first, and then the unmarried woman must take a bath.
  • The children can also take a bath for the Parwati blessings. The Shringaars are done on this day. There are a total of 16 Shringaar that have to be done during the event. The women also use jewelry items for decoration.
  • The Shiva Pariwaar is also considered the God on Hartalika Teej. Three big-sized idols of the Shiva Pariwaar are taken from the main idol to the gathering of people where the Puja ceremony is done.
  • Particular idols of the Parvati are fixed for the women, and they can take these idols to their secret rooms where they can independently worship them. The men can also offer Puja to the Parwati but in the Temple.
  • This festival doesn’t need to make idols by the worshipping person who will worship those idols. There are unlimited Idols of the Parwati present in the bazaars, and they are taken from there to the homes of the Puja.
  • The women and the girls wear different colors of clothes and then come to the Temple to offer Puja to the Parwati. Most women wear green clothes because it is considered the favorite color of Parwati.
