Holika Dahan 6 March

Holika Dahan is the Hindu festival called a colour event due to the colourful celebrations of the day. It is also related to the Choti Holi. in 2023, and it will be arranged on the 7th of March. A bonfire ceremony is celebrated after the colour ceremony in which the fire is worshipped by keeping Vishnu in mind. Few people present the bonfire activity in honour of the Holi, who was the demon king. After performing all the event ritual acts, all the negativities from the worshipper’s life are finished according to the old event celebrators. 

Fire worships on Holika Dahan

The offered fire worship on this festival is called Bonfire. This activity can be performed in the temples or at home. In this ritual, people burn a huge fire, and around the burned fire, decorative works are performed to give honour to it. The Holika idol is placed in front of the fire, and Puja is offered to him. The ash that remains at the end of the fire is used for various purposes. People add ash to the boxes and use them to remain safe from evil eyes. 

Importance about Holika Dahan

This is the important event in which the Demon king Holik is worshipped. One who offers prayers and fast to the Holika on this event will be awarded prosperity in his life. According to the older adults, the works which cannot be done due to fear are done due to worship at this festival. The victory of God Rama is also appreciated due to his victory over the evil God Ravana.
