Kamanahabba

Kamanahabba is the enjoyment festival of Hindus which is related to Holi. It is also called Holiya Hunnime in a few Indian cities but mostly Kamana Habba in cities linked to Karnataka. Various singers have sung various songs on this day. Celebrations related to Holika Dhana are also represented in this festival, and Gods like Vishnu and Shiva are worshipped with great devotion on this day. 

Phases-wise celebrations on Kamanahabba

First Phase

The first phase of celebrations performed at this festival is called Kamannana Makkalu. In this phase, the main acts are event slogans, Fireworks and firewood worship named bonfire. Everyone gathered in nearby temples and burned massive fires to perform fire worship named bonfire. This fire worship is presented to Krishna and his relative God, Shiva. In the reward of bonfire worship, the sins of worshippers and worshipper ancestors are cleared.  

Second phase 

The most critical phase of this event is Kamanna’s children, who perform all the arrangements. Fireworks are also done in this phase in which big bombs are blasted at night in the happiness of the gala. Holika Dahan celebrations like color throwing also took place in which people throw colors at each other. Children gathered and moved to Ganga and Yamuna for baths, and after the bath moved to the temple and worshiped Ganesha idols in Krishna temple. The color celebrations are performed mainly by children who use color shot guns and throw colors at each other with colored guns. This phase of Kamana Habba is also called the Children phase, as children mainly enjoy it.
