Kartika Purnima

Kartika Purnima is a festival that is celebrated in India. The other name used in place of Kartika Purnima is Tripurari Purnima. According to the Hindu calendar, the month when Kartika Purnima is celebrated is named November. The gods worshipped on Kartika Purnima are called Shiva God and Vishnu God. There are different beliefs of the people about Kartika Purnima. According to old Hindus, on the Kartika Purnima, there is the arrival of the Gods living in heaven to the earth. All the Gods on the Kartika Purnima bathe in the holy rivers named Ganga and the other river Yamuna. Due to the bathing of the Gods, the different peoples that celebrate the Kartika Purnima also take a bath in Ganga. 

Importance of Kartika Purnima

The first point relates to event importance in that he saved significant generations of humans during the flood. According to the old beliefs, it is taken that the Lord has taken the form of the Fish that was so big. The Lord has saved many people from the flood by turning them into Fish. Due to this reason, it is also worshipped on this day. The special Vishnu fasts are also offered to it on this day.

Fast and decoration on Kartika Purnima

The fast offered on Kartika Purnima consists of 24 hours in duration wise. On the time of the fast, there are special worships that are presented to the Lord. In those worships, the prayers are offered to the Lord with the exceptional food that the fast offering person does not take. In addition to this, unique decorations are also made in the temple and the top roofs of the homes. The Puja that is offered to the Lord has great importance the point as the honey provides it. The bowl that is used while offering the Puja has love in it. In addition to this, the person who is offering Puja to the Lord must have to wear clothes that color like honey.
