Kurma Dwadashi

Kurma Dwadashi is the festival of Hindus on which the Vishnu tortoise form is worshipped. The tortoise prayers are offered to him in the temples. In the evening of the day, the Vishnu tortoise form comes out of the holy rivers. People go to the holy rivers, and the bath is taken there. After taking a bath, prayers are offered to the Vishnu. Before going to the temple, wash the Vishnu idol with them in the holy rivers. On this day, the fast is also offered to the Vishnu Turtoise form. 

How Kurma Dwadashi is an important event

This is an important day for those who worship Vishnu and the various forms of Vishnu. Unlimited rewards are offered to the worshippers in life. The life of the worshipper is filled with happiness and Vishnu blessings. In addition, this day is essential for the sins clarification. The sins of the fasting person are also cleared; either they are made in the present or the past, and he gets Vishnu salvation for the ancestors.  

Ritual works related to Kurma Dwadashi

• Take a bath and wear a holy dress.

• Offer yellow and white flowers to Vishnu
• For Vishnu’s blessings, take a bath in Mander. 
• To get the Vishnu light, light a Diya

• Go to the Lakshmi and Parvati temples
• Offer Lakshmi Puja to the Lakshmi idol 
• Break the event fast with the Satvik food.
