Magha Shraddha

The event arranged in the month named Magha by the Hindu for the ancestors is called Magha Shraddha. It is celebrated for more than one day in a few cities in india, and in a few cities, it is only arranged for one day. But the cities where it is set for more than one day will be called Magha Shraddha. The activities performed at this event named Tarpan, Yagna, etc. All the worship events are offered in the Magha temple in front of Magha with devotions.

Worships related to Magha Shraddha

• The Ishta Devta is the primary and first worship of the day offered to the Devta. Before this activity, the performers take the holy bath, and the male bath takers come to the temple for the Tarpan activity. 
• The Puja performed during this event is called Pinda Daan Puja and is regarded by the ancestors. In the Pinda Daan Puja, the Pinda Daan is called the Food placed in the Puja bowl. 
• The Pinda Daan food consists of rice and Sugar with Ghee. As it is taken in the temples, the food taker places it in the Puja bowl and offers it to God for the ancestor’s soul salvation. 
• The women cook the Satvik food at the festival event and present it to the celebrator’s ancestors. It is also fed to the animals like dogs as it is also included in the performed rituals of the event.
