Maha Bharani

Maha Bharani is a Hindu festival related to the Pitru Paksha. The month it is arranged is Ashwin, according to the Hindus. The event is related to the ancestors who have died. The worship is also offered for the ancestor’s salvation from Maha on this day. The Krishna temples are well decorated on this day, and the Puja of this event is performed there. Pinda Puja

The Pinda Puja is performed at this event in respect of all ancestors. The proper arrangements are made in the various temples. The most prominent temples for the Pinda Puja are the Krishna temples, Vishnu Temples, and Parwati temples. In these temples, the idols of the Gods are placed in the front, and the Puja is offered to them by taking the bowl of the Puja related to each God. This is the significant Puja of the event as arranged for the ancestors. The songs in honor of the ancestors are also sung in the temples. This is the only Puja activity performed by a group of people, not by individuals.

• The Tarpan activity is also linked to this day and performed at a specific time in the temples. The Satvik foods are cooked on this day and given to all Brahmins in the temples. 
• People prepare food for the crows and the other birds and animals. One who will give food to the crows and the other animals like these, he and his ancestors will be blessed with the Vishnu blessings.
