Navratri is the festival celebrated in india, and the Maha Navami is celebrated after all the celebrations of the Navrati. Generally, Maha Navami is observed at the ending days of the event. Siddhidatri is the Maa of the Hindus that is worshipped on this day. There are Siddhidatri fasts that are also performed on this day, and these are the unique types of fasts where the fast offering person has to follow the rules of the Siddhidatri fast that are given by the Siddhidatri Maa. last year, in 2022, it was celebrated on the 9th of october. All the worships on Maha Navami are dedicated to the Siddhidatri. In addition to this, the Puja is also offered to the Maa Siddhidatri. The Puja related to the Maa Siddhidatri is the excellent type in which the red bowl offers the Puja. The women must wear light red dresses, the small children must wear dark red dresses, and the men must wear colored dresses on Maha Navami.

Puja to Siddhidatri

The Puja is offered to the Siddhidatri on Maha Navami. In the literature of the Hindus, it is written that the Puja offering to the Siddhidatri causes unlimited blessings in the form of wisdom to the person offering the worship. The unique bowls provide the Puja and are made with red clay in which the fragrance is mixed. As the bowls get ready, the flowers are decorated on them. The flowers may be artificial or natural, but there are no restrictions to using fake flowers. Our primary purpose is to make the bowl beautiful so that we can use any decorative material. The food items like grains will also be added to the Siddhidatri Puja bowl that will be given to the persons that are the idols of Siddhidatri from the end of the festival in the one year to the start of the carnival in the next year. In this way, the Siddhidatri Puja activity is completed.

Musical ceremony

A grand Musical ceremony is also arranged on Maha Navami. The instruments used during the musical ceremony are the drums made from the animals’ skins and the Bajay of various sizes. One way to worship the Goddess is by singing and arranging this type of musical party where everyone is present, and the singing process starts there. All the singers are gathered there. While singing the Masters of the Goddess is sung during this ceremony which makes the Goddess happy. There was no holiday for the minor children, and all the schools remained open till the end of the event. In this way, the Maha Navami festival goes to an end.
