The Legend God that is worshipped on this day is the Surya. This festival is great for all Hindus from all over India. The activities on this day include the bath and worship on the Surya. It is also celebrated according to the sun’s movement from one region to another, depending on its position. Other than the Surya, the sun is also worshipped on Makara Sankranti. This Sankranti is also known as the Legend Sankranti from all over India. Great prayers are offered on this day to God while offering the Puja to them. The time for the Punya Kaal is suggested yearly according to the sun’s motion.
