Mandalakala Begins

The Festival on which Puja named Mandala Puja is arranged in the Ayyapa temples and is called Mandalakala Begins. Mandala Puja is performed in the Hindu temples situated in Kerala city. All Indians do not celebrate it, but the lovers of God Ayyapa mainly celebrate it. Last year in 2022, it was started on the 17th of November and concluded on the 27th of December. Any Mandalakala celebrator can perform Mandala Puja, and there is no age distinction for this Puja act.

Ayyapa Mala is also called Tulsi Mala, and the Ayyapa worshippers on Mandalakala are called Ayyapans. There is no permission to use alcohol and drinks related to alcohol, as these are strictly prohibited.

Due to Mandala Puja, the sins of the offering person are cleared, and he got free of evil deeds. According to the Puranas of Hindus, Mandala Puja is only arranged once in whole life as it severely affects the performer’s life. Ancestors’ sins are also cleared due to the effects of Mandala Puja. Female from one to nine years performs Mandala Puja for their best future.
