Masik Durgashtami 28 February

Masik Durgashtami is the most important Hindu event among all the festivals and is celebrated in honor of Durga. In 2023, it was arranged for the 27th of February, and the day was Monday. For happiness and positive life changes, Durga idols are worshipped with various worships on this day. In addition, Durga worshippers receive powers from Durga to compete with the negative energies and to finish life’s difficulties. 

Rituals performed on Masik Durgashtami

Durga Puja performers get up during sunrise and present Puja to Durga in the temple. Women Puja performers wore new clothes and gave their ornaments to Durga as a gift. Flower garlands are made after Puja and offered to the goddess idol. Homes are decorated with Durga wore garlands, and goddess art is displayed on the home’s walls. Among foods, sweets items are made including Kheer and fast is conclude with that sweet food. For Durga’s blessings, Durga Chalisa is recited. At the end of all ritual acts, a Charity activity is performed in which Sweet food is presented to deservers.
