Masik Krishna Janmashtami

The Festival celebrated on the 14th of March in 2023 by Hindus in Krishna’s honor is called Masik Krishna Janmashtami. This day informs Krishna lovers about the benefits of worshipping Krishna and tells what Krishna worshippers gain due to Krishna worshiping on this day. Few Krishna followers celebrate it as Krishna’s Birthday, and in the Krishna temples, Krishna birthday celebrations are celebrated. According to Bhagwid Gita, Vasudev was the father of Krishna, and Devaki was his mother, so Vasudev and Krishna’s mother are worshipped on this event.

As this Festival marks the birthday of Krishna, so Krishna is worshipped in India at various temples. Other than india, his idols are honored in other places where Hindu communities are present. Women followers of Krishna present fast to Kirshna and receive blessings from him in the form of the long life of their children and prosperity. In Krishna temples, people offer Puja to Krishna, and cooked rice is presented to him as Satvik food.
