Meenam Sankramam is the Hindu festival celebrated after eleven months; according to the Hindus calendar in India. There are various names for this event, and the name of this festival in India’s south part is Meenam Sankramanam. On this festival, the sun God also shows his entrance into the house named Pisces, and the donation ceremony is considered challenging among all the rituals related to this festival. There are no strict rules to celebrate this event; everyone can celebrate this day according to their culture and traditions.

Muhurat activity
There is the ritual act named Murhurat, in which a bath is taken by the celebrator of this day. And after taking a bath, the bath takers have to move to open ground to offer worship in the form of a Puja to Sun. This activity is considered best for paying thanks to the Sun. in addition, these prayers are deemed necessary for getting salvation from the Sun and well being of the family.
Sun Puja and Sun Fast
Immediate rewards gained from the Sun on this festival are happiness and Sun wealth. These are received by only those people who offer worship to the Sun on this event day. The central Sun worships Sun Puja and Sunfast. Sun Puja is presented while Sun rises in the morning, and the Sun’s fast time starts as the Sun rises.
Temples decorations and donation act
Temples are decorated with the art of the Sun and yellow flowers. As the event started, Sun worshippers came to the temple to offer prayers to the Sun after bathing in the Ganga. In the donation ceremony of this festival, donators donate lands to the deserves and receive blessings from the Sun.
