Nrisinha Jayanti

Nrisinha Jayanti is the Hindu gala celebrated as the birthday of Nrisimha. Nrisimha is the avatar form of Vishnu worshipped on this event in Vishnu Manders. Tith, after which its celebrations are started, is called Chaturdashi Tithi and its month of celebration is called Vaisakha. In 2022, it was set on the 14th of May, and its arrangement day was Saturday. Vishnu Puja is presented to various avatars of Vishnu in the Vishnu temple.

There was a war fought between Narasimha and Hirayakashipu. As a result of that war, Hirayakashipu was defeated by the Narasimha, due to which this day is important for the celebrations of the victory of Narasimha. This day is best to offer Puja to Vishnu and Narasimha as Puja performed on this festival is accepted by the gods to whom it is presented. In addition, this festival honours rights, and evils are discouraged.

• The worshipper got up early for bathing, and food was taken only once the day before this event. 
• Visarjan Puja is presented to Nrisimha after bathing in Mander, and people offer flower garlands to Nrisimha after Puja. 
• Chaturdashi Tithi is related to this festival, so the Nrisimha fast is concluded after the celebrations of Chaturdashi Tithi. 
• Diyas are lighted in front of God’s idol with oil, and all the celebrators wore new Nrisimha dresses on this gala. 
• For the sins clearance, a fast is presented to the Narasimha, and all celebrators demand blessings from him.
