Panguni Uthiram

The event on which the marriage ceremonies are celebrated is called Panguni Uthiram. This was the day when Shiva and Parvati got married. One who marries on the day will be blessed with the Parwati and Shiva blessings.

The people who will marry in the temple must recite the Vishnu Manter to honor him. If marriage couple does not recite the Vishnu Manter, their marriage will not stay for a lifetime, according to the few believers of the Vishnu.
