Papankusha Ekadashi

The special day only for the worship of Vishnu is called Papankusha Ekadashi. Papankusha Ekadashi is essential among all 24 Ekdashis celebrated in India. There is the EVENT named Shukla Paksha, and after the celebrations of this event, the festivals of the Papankusha Ekadashi are started. The month in which this event is celebrated is also named Ashwina. In 2022, it was celebrated on the 6th of October. 

How Papankusha Ekadashi is significant

There is great importance of this event. The God that is worshipped on this day is Vishnu, and all the works are performed in honor of this God. in addition, the relatives of this God are also worshipped. There are specific points that are related to the significance of this event. The first point related to the importance is that the health that Vishnu has found in his life is offered to the person who will worship Vishnu on this day. All the Vishnu family, named the God family, is honored on a holy day. 

Works on Papankusha Ekadashi event

There are wondrous works that are done on Papankusha Ekadashi. As this day is purely celebrated for Vishnu, all the celebrations are also relatable. The Cousins of Vishnu are also worshipped. The unique Puja offered to the sister of Vishnu is also performed on this day. Other rituals that are done on this day are given below.

• The food that is named Panchamrit is prepared on this day. The materials that are mixed in this food are Sugar and curd. The Patra of the Tulsi is also added to this food that is then offered to the Vishnu as the worship of the Vishnu. 
• The Puja offered on this day is incomplete if you will not use the Tulsi Patra while providing it. The special Patra of the Tulsi is taken from the garden of the Tulsi and then washed with the Mander water to use during Puja.
• The Bhoog Prasad offered to God is made of unique Satvik food materials. In addition to this, the fast that is provided on Papankusha Ekadashi is broken with the material that is added to the Satvik food.
