Idols of various Gods are placed in the front during the Puja, including Lord Vishnu and a particular form of the Goddess. The lamp is also lit up in the Temple to brighten the minds of all people.
On this day, different types of sweets are made at home and offered to the Lords. The sweets are usually prepared with desi ghee, and certain other materials like Tulsi and ghee are added to the food. The food is divided among the poor and eaten by the people in the Temple.
