September 22, 2023 @ 1:05 pm - September 23, 2023 @ 11:47 am IST
There is the birthday of the Indian God, Shri Radha, for which the Radha Ashtami is celebrated. On the 14th of September, it was observed in India in 2022. There are great activities of the Aarti that are performed on this day. The Aarti is related to the action of the Puja that is performed on the full day. Fresh prasad is taken from the markets and taken to the temple for distribution among the people. In addition, the yellow flowers are also taken from the bazaar to decorate the temple and make the various Garlands for the worshippers.
Radha Rani
An Idol of the Radha Rani is also worshipped on Radha Ashtami. The ceremony is arranged before the one day of starting the Radha Ashtami. All the artists that can make the idol of Radha Rani are gathered in the temple where no standards are present already. A special type of clay is taken from the ground, and water is mixed. After mixing the water, the clay is set free for a few hours. As the clay is set free, the color of the clay changes according to the few Hindus. After the change of color of clay, the idols of the Radha Rani are made by the idol makers, dried in the open ground, and then taken to the main Radha Rani idol for worshipping.
Decoration on Radha Ashtami
There is a special ceremony in which the temple of Radha Rani is decorated with flowers, and the garlands are presented on the walls. All the old idols of the Radha Rani are removed from th temple, and in their place of them, the new heroes are placed there as they get dried in the open ground. Special makers make the Garlands that are added on the wall, and yellow flowers are also added to those Garlands. The Radha fasts are also offered on this day. The Radha fasts are of various kinds, in which the use of honey is prohibited. As the temple is decorated, it is turned off for unlimited hours, and on the day of Radha Ashtami, it is again opened, and the worshipped to the Radha are offered by all the people in the temple.
