Ramanuja Jayanthi

The event celebrated on the birthday of Ramanuja is called Ramanuja Jayanthi. Ramanuja worked greatly in the social field of Hindu life. There were unlimited social reforms arose in the era of Ramanuja. He was also awarded the award of thinker. He worked in the philosophical fields and was related to the Brahmin family; all his family members were related to the Tamil communities. The worship is offered in the Ramanuja temples, other than the Ramanuja temples; these can also be presented in the Vishnu temples. 

Ramanuja temples

The temples in which the idols of the Ramanuja are present are decorated at this event. For decoration, flowers and garlands are used. One day before the event, the garlands are prepared from the flowers and placed on the top home place. On the event day, these are taken to the temple by reciting Manter on the garlands. Various rituals take place in the temples. Few people offer Fast to Ramanuja, and few offer prayers in the temples before Ramanuja. 

Significance of Ramanuja Jayanthi

It has great importance among all Hindus as it brought the concept of equality into society. The equality concept is found in the temples where all people collectively perform the worship of the event like Ramanuja Puja and Ramanuja Prayers. The food distributed in honor of Ramanuja is distributed equally among everyone. Everyone can attend the temple on this festival because their caste does not matter. This event brought equality to society, and the poor were awarded the same rewards as the rich.
