Roop Chaudas

An event celebrated before Diwali by Hindus is called Roop Chaudas. The women mainly celebrate it, and they arrange it by heart. On this day, Siddhi Diwas and women perform the Sadhana activity. The primary purpose of organizing the Sadhana activity is to increase the Charm. This is also called Women’s beauty day, as women perform activities to make themselves beautiful and get ready to celebrate Diwali. 

Celebrations related to Roop Chaudas

• Worships are presented to Yamraj on this day. Women celebrators get up in the morning and go to Ganga to take a bath. While bathing, they use a particular product named Ubtan to clean them. They make Uban themselves with various items. After bathing, they apply multiple fragrances to them and do makeup for a beautiful appearance. 
• Yama worship is presented to Yama along with Puja. Puja is offered to Vishnu for Vishnu’s blessings. Women made sweets at home and took them to temples to give them to God. Homes are also decorated with the lights and art of the Yama God. Few people present Vishnu and Parwati art on their home walls to make them beautiful. 

Importance associated with Roop Chaudas

It has tremendous importance in the Hindu religion as it is the event on which all Diwali celebrators, especially women, decorate themselves and the idols of God to celebrate Diwali. In addition, this day is essential for the worship of Kali, and people recite Kali Manters in their homes for Kali’s blessings.
