Saraswati Balidan

Saraswati Balidan is the Hindu event on which Saraswati is worshipped. Homage is paid to her while performing her Puja in Vishnu Mander. The month of this event celebration is called Ashwin, and it is mainly celebrated in Uttar Pradesh. The women idol makers make Saraswati idols, and after decorating them, they are taken to the temple to offer Saraswati Puja to her. According to Hindus, Vishnu also offers Puja to Saraswati on this festival day.
Significance related to Saraswati Balidan
Saraswati is worshipped with various worships till the end of the festival. Arts of Saraswati are displayed on the walls of temples, and women offer Puja to her. Indian older women say it is the best day for learning communication skills from Saraswati by offering Puja and fast to her. Buddha’s teachings are also recited for the Buddha’s knowledge. Old scripts of Hindus tell that Saraswati had created this world from his powers, so celebrators celebrate this day to appreciate the power of Saraswati.
Ritual acts performed on Saraswati Balidan
- Saraswati followers bathe in Yamuna or Ganga, and after bathing, they wash Devi idols.
- Puja is offered to Devi in the temple, and after Puja, Hawan activity is performed in honor of Devi.
- A particular type of Puja is performed in which Uttara Manters are recited for the Mantra Chant from Saraswati.
- In the fire-coconut ceremony, coconut holes are thrown on the fire, which is included in Havan Kund.
