Saraswati Visarjan

The final day related to Saraswati Puja is called Saraswati Visarjan. This event is celebrated by Hindus in india and the other countries where Hindus live. Another name dedicated to this Puja day is called Saraswati Udvasan. In the Gregorian calendar, it is arranged in October, while the Hindus calendar says it is celebrated in Aswin. Devi is worshipped, and the worshipped Devi on this festival is called Saraswati Devi. 

Significance related to Saraswati Visarjan

According to Hindus and the old scripts of Hinds, Vishnu follows Saraswati, due to which Saraswati, along with Vishnu, is worshipped in the temples of Uttar Pradesh. Hindu legends say that it was the day Saraswati took birth and made our universe. To appreciate Saraswati’s works and to celebrate her birthday, celebrators offer Puja to her in Vishnu temples where Vishnu is also worshipped. Bhajans and Katha in the Saraswati honor are recited, and Devi stories are explained to children for knowledge. 

Rituals associated with Saraswati Visarjan 

Saraswati idols are washed in the running water of Ganga and then wrapped in yellow or red dresses. Due to Devi Puja, women are this event’s top celebrators and Puja performers. Women celebrators also took baths and decorated themselves with new event day clothes and the new ornament. Foods in honor of Devi are also cooked and distributed among Poors as a charity act and used for breaking fast. Musical ceremonies are arranged in which Devi Bhajans and devotional songs are sung.
