Vishnu is the Lord being followed on the day of Shattila Ekadashi. It is the most blessed day for Indians as they follow their top believer God, Vishnu. Krishna is also obeyed on this day. Indian make certain efforts to reach their God as they are not available to order anything from them. For this purpose, thee make certain efforts like worshipping, offering and many more. The main tasks that Indians perform on Shattila Ekadashi are clothes donating and food donating. In addition, they perform fast and obey all instructions mentioned for strict fasts by their God named, Krishna and Vishnu. All these acts it is very significant for all Indians.
Main task on Shattila Ekadashi
The Indians perform the following tasks on this special day that are mentioned below.
Food donation
By following instructions given by Krishna and Vishnu, all Indian donate and take special food to Vishnu and Krishna. And in return, the persons sitting with the Idol of Krishna and Vishnu donate all food collected on Shattila Ekadashi by Vishnu and Krishna to needy people so that it adds to the helping character of each donator and the acceptor feels happy. Due to acceptor happiness, Krishna and Vishnu feel happy and blessed donators.
Clothes Donation
New clothing with yellow and red are bought from shops and taken to idols of Krishna and Vishnu. After the ceremony of Shattila Ekadashi, all of them are donated to all pools that are present at the time of the festival ending. Krishna feels surprised, according to Hindus’ belief, due to this act of them. In addition to this, Vishnu also feels surprised when yellow cloth pieces are worn to them.
Importance of Shattila Ekadashi
Shattila Ekadashi begins at 06:05 pm on the 17th of January each year; likewise, 2023 ends on the 19th of January at 07:14 am. It is an important day for All Vishna believers as they denote unlimited things to it and donate clothes to persons sitting with the idol of Vishnu. In addition to this, all Indians send Til to parents that come in the list of ancestors and acquire great salvation.
