Shravana Putrada Ekadashi

As all Hindus know, there are 24 Ekdashis related to the religious festivals of the Hindus. The Shravana Putrada Ekadashi is included as one of those Ekdashis. This Ekdashi is celebrated all over the world. The celebrations are offered twice in the same year. There are two different months in which these Ekdashis are celebrated. According to the Hindu calendar, the first month in the same year is called Pausha. The other month in which Shravana Putrada Ekadashi is celebrated is named Shravan. 

When Shravana Putrada Ekadashi will be celebrated in 2023

In 2023, it will be celebrated on the 27th of August on Sunday. But in 2022, it was observed on the 8th of August. But the tithi activities related to this event on the same day started on the 7th of August, at 11:50 pm. The Parana time of Shravana Putrada Ekadashi in 2022 was set up at 05:47 am and ended at 08:27 am. All the worship offered to God day of Shravana Putrada Ekadashi started as the sun rose.

Early morning bathing and wearing clean clothes is the day’s first task that must be fulfilled after waking in the early morning. A Sankalp is taken on event day for offering the fast. The taking of Sankalp is necessary as that fast must be provided on that day when there are no sins offered on this day, and the Sankalp commits no sin during the fasting hours. The Vermillions are also supplied to the Vishnu by taking the different types of flowers with them. The sweets are also accepted for their sweet taste, giving sweetness to the Vishnu, and he feels happy about the offering person. Bhoog Prasad is taken from the bazaar to offer to Lord Idol. A limited quantity of Bhoog prasad is also distributed among the people in the temple after the Puja.
