Shri Rama Navami

The Hindus event dedicated to Rama is called Shri Rama Navami. On this day, Victory got by Rama from Ravana is celebrated with happy startings and endings. The month in which this Navami is celebrated is called Chaitra. On this festival, there is a public holiday all over the Indian states, and all institutions remain off till the end of the day. Vishnu and Rama, both gods, are worshipped on this day, and Rama idols are specially decorated with flowers and designed clothes.

• Rama is a Ramayana hero who won many wars against an evil God named Ravana. 
• Hindus call it their God and also worship him as a God. He was also a king of Hindus.
• Rama is considered Vishnu’s avatar, and he also has powers like Vishnu and Vishnu Skils. 

Celebrations on Shri Rama Navami

• On this day, people decorate and clean their homes. Idols of Rama are taken to homes and placed at the home top place for offering Puja to him. Flowers are also presented to Rama in the form of flower garlands.
• Fast to the Rama is presented called Rama fast, arranged by men especially. Food items like Garlic are strictly prohibited; otherwise, Rama fast would not be accepted by Rama. 
• People gathered in the Vishnu temple in teams and raised slogans in honour of Rama. Rama food is prepared and taken while breaking fast. It is also presented to Rama for getting his blessings.
